When it comes to camping, there are plenty of options out there for gear. Everything ranges in quality and price. From the well built to the cheaply made. From the expensive products to the bargain basement items. Egoz is trying to make a name for itself by offering decent quality gear at a decent price. They sent us their Lightweight Sleeping Bag to try out.
Coming in at less than $30 bucks, the Egoz sleeping back weighs only 3 pounds, and rolls up into a very small bundle. With the including pull-string bag, it makes it easy to take anywhere. We all know that sometimes rolling up a sleeping bag or tent to put back in its original bag can be hard; but since the Egoz sleeping bag is so thin, I had no issue rolling it back up at all. I do however wish it did come with an elastic band to keep the sleeping bag rolled up, but I can always try to find or make one myself.
While the sleeping bag is rated to be good for temperatures in the 30s, I think sleeping bags are as tough as the person using it. If you bundle up inside your bag you could definitely sleep in colder temperatures. Thanks to its polyester lining, you will definitely warm up quickly. Buyers beware, if you are not used to polyester lined sleeping bags you may not like these. Another misstep for the sleeping bag is its size. It is somewhat short. Coming in at 5’8″, my feet touched the bottom of the sleeping bag while my head just peeked out the top. Anyone hovering around the 6 feet or taller range may have an issue fitting into this sleeping bag.
While the Egoz sleeping bag may not be a heavy duty sleeping bag, it certainly gets the job done. Again, for a bargain price, the Egoz sleeping bag would be perfect for a kid’s overnight sleep over, a short camping trip in which you are looking to keep things light, or even better, a music festival. I think this sleeping bag would be perfect for that, as it’s lightweight and relatively inexpensive. That being said, it will certainly do the job of giving you a place to sleep at night, and if it gets destroyed by rain, flooding, and mud (because, lets face it, it always rains at festivals), it won’t be the end of the world.
For less than $30, you can pick up your own Egoz sleeping bag directly from Amazon.
