ERA Organics

ERA Organics has a wide selection of products such as face wash, baby balm, shampoo & conditioner, moisturizers, and even face masks. We were excited to try out a few of them in the past month and really liked their products. They are free of harsh chemicals that so many of our every day products contain. Who wants ingredients that can do more harm than good to our face and body? It is important to take care of your skin from the inside out, and that includes using products that are good for the skin, free from unnecessary chemicals.

I have fairly sensitive skin, and allergies as well, such as to formaldehyde. Unknowingly to a lot of people, it is actually an ingredient in many products we eat, and use on our skin. A few examples are these ingredients: Tetrasodium EDTA which is a chelating agent that’s made from formaldehyde and sodium cyanide, or Diazolidinyl Urea which readily breaks down in the product, or on the skin and releases formaldehyde. It’s an endocrine disruptor, a possible neurotoxin, a known immune system toxicant, and has a possible link to cancer. Who wants to use that on your skin when there are natural products such as ERA Organics out there? Take a look at your ingredient lists and see what “hidden” chemicals you’re putting on you & your families skin.

As for these products, we tested out the era dead sea mud mask in Pink grapefruit mint (also available in Blood orange lemongrass, and unscented), era Cleanse + Restore face and body cleanser, And era natural face moisturizer. All were gently on the skin and made our skin look fresher, brighter, and more even within a few days of using.

We really enjoy using the dead sea mud mask once a week to clear out our pores. It is easy to apply (I use a makeup brush for even application), dries in about 10-15 mins,  and washes off fairly easy. The pink grapefruit mint has a pleasant scent when applied, and a slight tingle while it dries. It however smells a bit like sulphur as soon as you begin to wash it off. That was unexpected, but not bad enough to stop us from using it. I feel like my skin looks and feels cleaner, as well as clearer after using this weekly.

I like to follow the mask with the complete face moisturizer, and also use it at night after I wash my face with the Cleanse + Restore cleanser. Eras products have a PH of 5.5. So they are both gentle and effective. Skin is naturally a 5.5 Ph, which is acidic, but most soaps, cleansers, & lotions are 9.5 PH, which is alkaline. When you use face and body cleansers, or moisturizers that are alkaline, you ruin this natural balance, which can then take up to 12 hours to restore. When it is trying to restore, it is harder for it to replenish itself and stay clear. Sometimes making conditions worse. If you find that you get breakouts often, perhaps you should simply try switching out your daily facial cleanser to one that is PH balanced, with natural ingredients.

You can use the complete moisturizer on your face and body. It is full of hypoallergenic, organic vegetable derived ingredients, that are proven to help improve your appearance. Great for wrinkles, dry skin, scars, psoriasis, acne, etc. I find it to be creamy, and easy to apply. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or looking greasy, but instead it is smooth and soft, and soaks in rather quickly. Within a few weeks of using all of these ERA products I definitely see a change in my skin. It looks brighter, skin tone is more even, and I have had less spots randomly pop up on my face.
