They may look like them, but do not call the NEW Kashi Soft-Baked Squares Brownies. The company sent me the latest product to try out. Each square is packed with four grams of fiber and are made with whole grains and other natural ingredients. But I think Kashi left something out. Moisture.
Unlike the brownies like ‘mom used to make,’ these are much dryer. Don’t get me wrong, I like the fact that they are made with real ingredients like sweet potatoes and agave, but these things need to be dunked in a glass of milk before each bite. That, or a drink needs to be on standby to wash each bite down.
The new Kashi Soft-Baked Squares come in Chocolate and Almond. While slightly dry, I did enjoy both flavors. I just needed some water. While the Soft-Baked Squares are not packed with a sweet flavor you would get from the “unhealthier” alternatives, you still get a decent snack perfect for children and adults.
